Hummingbird Ayahuasca Retreat Center, Iquitos Peru

The Hummingbird Ayahuasca Retreat Center in Iquitos Peru is located near kilometer 14 on the Iquitos-Nauta highway, outside the village of Varillal. At 2.6 kilometers from the main road, our location offers a quiet, peaceful environment removed from the noise and distractions of modern jungle-town life. The center is an oasis of tranquility, full of the sounds of jungle wildlife, including the cry of hawks, the lively prattle of parrots flying overhead, and the gentle whirring of hummingbird wings. Nights are filled with the sounds of frogs singing their joy of life, owls trilling for their mates, and the ubiquitous symphony of hundreds of different types of insects. These beautiful jungle night-noises are a wonderful accompaniment to the icaros sung during an ayahuasca ceremony.
